Forbes Magazine published two of my illustrations. However, one was apparently too spicy, so after a few months they removed it and replaced it with one of my ‘softer’ ones. I have screen shots below so you can see the article and my art next to it.
They appeared in an article written by the incredibly insightful economist, Steve Keen called, Wolfgang Schäuble, The Trust Troll. You can also click here for the PDF.
Both of these illustrations are from my Merry Felonies comic strip that I did with Suzy Dias for Idea Economics. Unfortunately, Idea Economics company closed down, but you can still see our hilarious comic strip if you click here. Suzy even did a couple of animated cartoons. They’re still relevant and funny today.
Too spicy for Forbes, but you can see it here. The “troll” is Wolfgang Schäuble, a former German politician for over 50 years. “he took a hard line toward Southern European countries during the eurozone crisis and rejected calls from the IMF to give Greece more time to rein in deficits. A proponent of austerity policies, Schäuble’s 2014 budget allowed Germany to take on no new debt for the first time since 1969, which is generally known as Black Zero in CDU election campaigns.”
And look at Germany now. Looks like Steve Keen was right There’s not much difference between the Germany and Greek economic growth as of 2025.
Near the bottom of the article, they also published this one, also from my Merry Felonies comic strip.
