My First Crochet Shopping Bag
What do you do when you move to France? Crochet of course!
Not even a house full of boxes and endless hours of packing and organizing were enough to stop me from some good old crochet time. What can I say, I’m addicted.
I love amigurumi, but it’s fun to make functional things too. I decided to make an attractive and practical shopping bag for my cousin in Paris. She was nice enough to let us (us meaning a family of 4) stay with her for 3 weeks – wow! My French family is amazing.

So, how did the shopping bag turn out? Pretty well, I think. I liked being able to make the base (circle) as wide as I wanted to, then making the sides tall enough to carry a lot groceries. I also made the shoulder strap nice and thick so it was comfy, even while carrying a heavy bag full of goodies.
Here it is, the final shopping bag…

I don’t have a pattern for this bag since I was just too busy to write it down, however, here are links to some AMAZING shopping bags! I took inspiration from some and I intend to make the others as soon as I get the chance. And they’re ALL FREE (of course). I always try to offer and share free patterns. Have fun and get hooked 😉
