Cool vibes in Montmartre, Paris
Today, Miguel and I had some time to buy a birthday gift for my son and enjoy the cool vibes of Montmartre. Lamarck – Caulaincourt is one of my favorite metro stations…from the outside. If you ever get off at this stop you should absolutely take the elevator since there are a ton of steps to climb.
Montmartre will is always be La Belle Époque
Montmartre is a large hill in Paris’s 18th arrondissement, which you can tell from the pictures. During the Belle Époque (end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th), many artists worked here including: Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Suzanne Valadon, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso, Camille Pissarro, and Vincent van Gogh. It’s a gorgeous neighborhood that is unique in Paris. It also provides a good cardio work out for those who like to challenge themselves.
Since it was such a lovely day, Miguel and I grabbed a beer (can you sense my Canadian roots?) and chill. Chilling for me also includes snapping some pics around town.
