Barbie at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris
Paris á la Geek was there to celebrate Barbie’s 60th birthday in Paris at the swanky Galeries Layfayette. The specially created a pop-up shop commemorates the internationally famous iconic doll and fashionista.
“After the success of its Harry Potter pop-up space, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann is celebrating the end of the year with another pop culture icon: Barbie. For the occasion of the 60th birthday of the Mattel doll, which came from the imagination of Ruth Handler in 1959, the Parisian department store is dedicating a pop-up to her in her colors with the center piece being none other than a life size Barbie Dream House, on display on the 5th floor.
