‘Down and Out’ Sketch with Charcoal

As I’m continuing my experiments with using charcoal. This represents an emotional tempest or being caught in an emotional storm. As with all the sketches in this series, I also wanted to see the effects of shading and contour while using the side of a piece of charcoal.
