Renoir for the first time – speachless
For our anniversary, Miguel and I had a day to ourselves while the kids are were at summer camp. We went to the Musée d’Orsay and I finally saw impressionist, Auguste Renoir. I was in heaven! My staring was only broken up by snapping pics.
Here are three of my favorites – Bal du moulin de la Galette, Danse à la campagne and La Liseuse.
Musée d’Orsay impressionist heaven!
The Musée d’Orsay is home to the most impressionist and post-impressionist art of any other museum in the world. It’s a dream come true to see original works of art by many larger than life artists like Renior, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, Degas, Cézanne, Millet, and more.

Renoir’s Bal du moulin de la Galette (1876)
I used to have a print of this hanging in my room. I couldn’t image how lovely it is in real life. Ain’t nothing like the real thing, baby.
Here’s Miguel Guerra taking a picture of his own…
Renoir’s Danse à la campagne / Dance in the Country (1883)
Danse à la Campagne was beyond beautiful. It’s so full of joy. What do you think he’s whispering in her ear?
Renoir’s La Liseuse / The Reader (1876)
I love a man who loves a woman who loves to read.
