Free Crochet Cat with Bendable Tail
I’m sharing my very first crochet pattern, so I hope it’s easy to follow. It all begin as a little cat for my daughter. This little kitten stands up perfectly on her oversized feet and will look adorable, no matter what yarn colors you choose.

Thanks for your comments! I’ll correct the pattern. Sorry for the confusion. I’m so glad you tried it.
I love this cute kitten and working on it for my niece. I’m wondering about the body pattern though. In the picture it looks oval, but the pattern is worked like a regular, spherical ball. Also, in round 14 the instructions say to invdec and then sc 4, but that doesn’t work evenly into the 42 stitches that are there to give a remaining 36 as indicated.
So, what I’ve done is decreased each round as I would for a normal sphere, and following the final stitch count per round as indicated in the pattern, and once getting to 18 stitches, then I invdec to 9 and finished stuffing and closed it up in a straight line instead of a circular close. This method did produce an oval-type body.
