Prepare for Solar the Polar Bear
ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ

This little care bear likes to sit by a chair and adores knit wear.
She stands up straight on legs so sturdy, and is not the least bit nerdy.
Place this bear anywhere to give your room a fun air.
You may find yourself in a cute-filled love affair.

Christmas on a budget

I hope everyone is having a good holiday season. Getting something for my kids’ teachers is my latest ‘responsibility’. I always get my kids to choose what they’d like to give their teacher. it usually involves toys and since I love to crochet, that’s not a problem.

This year, my son wanted to give his third grade teacher polar bear. The problem? I never made one before. But when has that stopped me before? I’ve already made cute cats (FREE Pattern: Easy Crochet Kitten with Bendable Tail & Big Paws), so why not try a bear?

A Bear with Flare! It took a few tries to get the proportions correct, but I think this is a cute and simple bear that can easily stand on 4 sturdy paws.

A polar bear for you? Of course it’s true!

I’m not making the pattern available for this one, but it is for sale in my shop if you’d one. Little Solar would be right at home on your desk, in a child’s room, hanging as an ornament or added to a decorative element.

For more information and photos, please visit my shop (click here).

• Colors: White, but you can choose any colour.
Materials: This bear is made of acrylic yarn, but you can also choose 100% cotton, 100% wool or a wool blend. Just remember that cotton and wool cost a little bit more. Contact me for details.

Now may I present, Solar the Polar Bear….

  1. Hi Sally, I’m so glad that you like it – thank you. I’m only selling the finished bear, not the pattern.
